The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference has called on Parliament to pass the Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill in its original form, warning lawmakers against approving what it describes as a weakened or “hollow” version of the controversial legislation.
Speaking on behalf of the Conference, President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, expressed concern over recent amendments made to the bill, arguing that they undermine its intended purpose and effectiveness.
