The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has called on the government to immediately reinstate the automatic posting policy for newly trained teachers, describing the recent recruitment of 7,000 teachers as insufficient to address the growing unemployment crisis among trained educators.
At a press conference held at the association’s national secretariat on Wednesday, April 22, TTAG President Nanija Devine criticised the ongoing recruitment exercise initiated by the Ministry of Education, arguing that it fails to tackle the significant backlog of qualified teachers awaiting placement.
