NPP Flagbearer and former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has paid tribute to fathers across Ghana, commending their unwavering dedication, sacrifices, and invaluable contributions to the development of strong families and communities.

In a Father’s Day message, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the critical role fathers play in nurturing, guiding, and protecting their families, describing their efforts as essential to building a stable and prosperous society.

Dr. Bawumia noted that fatherhood extends beyond providing for a family, emphasizing the importance of mentorship, leadership, and moral guidance in shaping future generations.

He praised fathers for the countless sacrifices they make, often behind the scenes, to ensure the well-being and success of their children and loved ones.

“Today, we celebrate the fathers whose commitment, love, and sacrifices continue to shape lives and strengthen our communities. Their contributions, though often quiet and unnoticed, are fundamental to the progress of our nation,” Dr. Bawumia stated.

According to him, the positive influence of fathers reaches far beyond their homes, helping to build responsible citizens and contributing to the moral and social fabric of society.

Dr. Bawumia further emphasized that fathers serve as role models, protectors, and sources of inspiration for young people, helping to instill values of discipline, integrity, and hard work.

As part of the celebration, he extended special appreciation not only to biological fathers but also to stepfathers, guardians, mentors, and father figures who have taken on parental responsibilities and positively impacted the lives of others.

Bawumia further encouraged fathers to continue embracing their responsibilities with dedication and love, noting that their influence remains indispensable to national development.

Father’s Day is observed annually to recognize and celebrate the contributions of fathers and father figures to families and society. Across Ghana, the occasion was marked with tributes and messages of appreciation from public officials, religious leaders, and citizens alike.

Dr. Bawumia’s message adds to the growing recognition of the important role fathers play in raising future generations and fostering stronger communities throughout the country.
