Leaders of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) in the Western Region have declared their unwavering support for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The endorsement was made during a meeting between regional TESCON executives and party stakeholders, where the student leaders praised Dr. Bawumia’s vision, competence, and record in public service. According to them, his leadership style and policy ideas resonate strongly with the aspirations of young people, particularly students and first-time voters.

The group noted that Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to digital transformation, education, and youth empowerment positions him as the most suitable candidate to lead Ghana into its next phase of development. The leaders cited initiatives such as digitalisation of public services and reforms in the education sector as clear evidence of his forward-looking leadership.
