The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged the Ghana Police Service to arrest and prosecute individuals responsible for the recent electoral violence in Ablekuma North, as preparations intensify for the September 2 by-election in Akwatia.
The call was made during a high-level meeting between political parties and the police on Tuesday, August 19. Speaking to journalists after the engagement, NPP National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye stressed that the failure of the police to act decisively undermines public trust in security arrangements for the upcoming polls.
