Members of the Coalition of Unpaid Teachers (COE & University) are set to stage a demonstration in Accra on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, to demand the payment of outstanding salary arrears.

According to the organisers, the protest—dubbed “Yeregyeyensika Demonstration (Reloaded)”, will bring together affected teachers who say they have endured months of unpaid salaries despite repeated appeals to authorities.

The demonstrators are expected to assemble at the popular Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle at 9:00 a.m. before marching to the Ministry of Finance to present their grievances.

Leaders of the coalition say the protest is intended to draw government attention to the financial hardship many affected teachers continue to face as a result of delayed payments.
