Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia delivered a powerful message of unity and inclusion today at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Delegates Conference held at the University of Ghana Stadium. Addressing thousands of party faithful, delegates, and dignitaries, Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to national cohesion, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or social status.
“Under our tent, it has not mattered where you come from; whether you are a Sefwi, Fante, Ewe, Ashanti, Ga-Dangbe, Krobo, Dagomba, Wala, Dagarti, Konkomba, Frafra, or Mamprusi,” he said, drawing thunderous applause from the crowd. “It has not mattered what religion you practice; whether you are a Christian, Muslim, or a traditional African religious practitioner. It has not mattered whether you are rich or poor, or whether you are formally educated or not.”
The Vice President’s remarks came at a crucial moment as the NPP gears up for rebuilding after the 2024 general elections defeat. Dr. Bawumia's speech is seen as a unifying call to Ghanaians across all backgrounds to rally behind a common vision of progress and inclusiveness.
